At least when Bergen was onscreen the movie livened up a bit but it was nothing I would've nominated her for. I found myself wanting another film running parallel to this one, following Tracy through her days, a testament to how much life Hemingway breathed into this enchanting young woman. She's best when she's flummoxed by events beyond her control or emotions as in the courtroom scene in which she doesn't want to be misinterpreted or post-playground accident when she blames herself. And so much sharp, beautiful writing in these blurbs. I appreciate this performance more after seeing it again.
